In the small spa of Mazunte there are neither cruise ships berthed, nor student’s drunk or large hotel complexes with all inclusive. None of that.

In this town in the state of Oaxaca, residents dive in the ocean. The fishermen downloader’s sharks in the morning. The kids play soccer in the beach, improvising the arches with sticks nailed in the sand. Streets of earth lead to the beach. The people live a few blocks away, in houses with hammocks.

Mazunte is not a site isolated. Come foreigners for years and many are left, opening small hotels, restaurants and bars. There is a constant flow of backpackers, couples and retirees. AND abound attractions, but not only for tourists. In Oaxaca, the visitor is immersed in everyday life of the locals.

Oaxaca is one of the largest states of the country and has high mountains, valleys, arid tropical forests and beaches along a rocky slope.

Within minutes of stressful bustle city, caps and cement, there is a green oasis where almost can play the sky. Literally. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain, warns its citizens of the dangerous places for travel. Although “at the moment, no region in the world, and no country are safe from possible terrorist acts”, the ministry itself that makes serious warnings on the following countries: Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Chad, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Ivory Coast, Eritrea, Haiti, Iraq, Liberia, Somalia and Yemen.

According to the ministry, these countries are not advisable to travel because of its high level of insecurity, and said that there is only to travel to them for personal reasons or labor.
