According to the information published yesterday by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), the number of passengers who used the air transport has dropped by 2.5 percent last month of July compared to the same month of 2008, to stand at 3.8 million users, while those who used the AVE-Long-distance have regressed an 8.7 percent surpassing the 2.1 million.
The urban transport has been used by more than 240.1 million passengers in July, with a decline of 4.4 percent compared with the same month of 2008.
The metropolitan transportation has registered a fall of 4.4 percent, the same decline by bus transportation. For its part, the intercity transport has been used by more than 139.2 million users, a 3.6 percent less than in July 2008.
