Regarded as the starting point of the great discoverers of the 15th century. Lisbon is more than a city of lineage that has seen a myriad of navigators famous. The Barrio Alto is an area of the center of Lisbon. It is a commercial district, entertainment and residential. Currently, the Neighborhood high is the place of youth meeting of the city and one of the main areas of nightlife. In this quarter is often concentrate groups of urban tribes, which possess establishments and meeting places. The fado still survives in the nights inhabitants. The person who frequents the neighborhood high at night is a mixture of locals and tourists.
Neighborhood of Belem
In the Ribera Del Tajo, is the historic district of Belem? Its main tourist attraction is the Geronimo’s Monastery, whose construction began in 1501 and it took 70 years to finish it. During its construction, the monastery cost the equivalent to 70 kg of gold per year. Most of the costs were borne by the spice trade.
